7 houses burnt to ashes in gas cylinder explosion in Ashulia
A gas cylinder explosion in a workers’ colony in Ashulia has gutted seven semi-detached houses. Locals brought the fire under control before the fire service reached the spot.
The incident took place in Shahjahan Market area of Bhadail, Ashulia on Tuesday evening.
Ahmedul Kabir, Senior Station Officer of Jirabo Modern Fire Service, said that two units of Jirabo Fire Service rushed to the spot after receiving information about the fire. However, the locals brought the fire under control before reaching the spot. Although the fire caused a loss of about 1 million taka, goods worth approximately 4 million taka have been recovered.
However, he also said that there were no casualties in the fire.
