The 5th day of hearing of the appeal to reinstate caretaker government system is underway. This Wednesday (October 29) morning, the hearing began in a full appellate bench of 7 judges led by Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed. BNP lawyers are hearing.
Earlier, on the 4th day of the hearing, Jamaat lawyer Shishir Monir told the court that the concept of caretaker government is a unique method. However, the caretaker government was canceled due to the lack of foresight of political leaders. On the other hand, on the third day of the hearing, lawyer Shishir Monir told the court that the process in which the caretaker government was canceled was planned.
Earlier, on August 27, the Supreme Court granted the review petition of the judgment to cancel the caretaker government system. The appeal was allowed. After that, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder and 5 others, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Jamaat Secretary General Golam Parwar appealed. Incidentally, in 2011, the Appellate Division of former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque ruled to dismiss the caretaker government based on a majority opinion.
