According to local sources, the owner of this house is local Russell Mia. However, several months ago, a person named Delwar Hossain of Narayanganj rented the house and started a residential hotel business. Suspects were regularly seen coming and going to the hotel. Especially at night, boys and girls were seen roaming freely in this hotel. Later, this afternoon, some media workers and police entered the place and caught 3 female sex workers and a lover-lover couple red-handed. Meanwhile, sensing the presence of the media workers, the hotel authorities locked the main gate of the building and fled. Later, the police broke the lock and rescued them. Later, 5 people, including 3 female sex workers, were arrested and taken to the police station.
Local resident Kabir Hossain said, “We did not see much traffic jam in this hotel during the day. We were wondering how the hotel runs if there are no people? But later we realized that sex workers are brought here and prostitution is done here. We want justice for those involved in this incident.”
Local resident Maulana Al Amin said, ‘Scholars and ulamas will unite and take action against those who have sown the seeds of this misdeed on the soil of Gazaria. We will not accept such misdeeds on the soil of Gazaria.’ Although attempts were made to contact the accused house owner, Russell Mia, on his mobile phone several times to find out about this, the number was found switched off.
