49 kg of marijuana seized in secret operation in Tangail, 3 arrested

A team of RAB 14 has arrested three people with 49 kg of marijuana from Jamuna Setu Highway in Kalihati, Tangail. They were arrested after searching a truck around 2:30 am on Monday (August 18). The truck was also seized. The arrested are Aminul, Babu and Mojahid. Major Kawsar Badhon, commander of RAB 14 (CPC-3), confirmed this information. The company commander said that based on secret information, it was learned that a truck loaded with cotton from Habiganj was carrying drugs towards North Bengal. Based on this, they were arrested during a drive on Jamuna Setu Highway in Kalihati Upazila. At that time, 49 kg of marijuana in the truck was recovered and three people were arrested. The truck was also seized. He also said that RAB has filed a case with Tangail Model Police Station as the plaintiff in this incident.
