4,880 liters of illegally stored diesel seized in Narayanganj, one sentenced to prison

4,880 liters of illegal diesel have been seized in a special joint operation by the district administration, BGB and police in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. Based on a secret information, the operation was carried out at a house on S O Bus Stand Road adjacent to Meghna Depot in Godnail area around midnight on Tuesday (March 31).
A huge quantity of fuel oil was recovered in the operation and a person named Nasir (50) was arrested. When the arrested person was immediately produced before the mobile court, the court’s Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner Rashed Khan sentenced him to one month in prison and a fine of Tk 3,000.
62 BGB Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mirza Mohammad Arafat, Additional District Magistrate Kafi Bin Kabir, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer SM Faiz Uddin and Siddhirganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Barik were present in the operation.
