4 youths arrested with pistols in Rangpur.
Tajhat Police Station has arrested 4 people including 2 youths and 2 women with pistols from the intersection of the park adjacent to Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur.
Based on a secret tip-off, on Monday night around 9 pm, Tajhat Police Station arrested the youths along with a private car and took them to the police station for interrogation.
The arrested are Tasnim Swarg of Dhap Katkipara and Sadia of Collegepara in the city, Harunur Rashid Mehdi of Sundarganj area of Gaibandha and Kawsar Ahmed Solaiman Ali of the same area.
In this regard, OC Shah Alam Sardar of Tajhat Police Station said, “We are investigating whether the pistol is genuine or fake.” It is also being investigated whether these two youths are involved in any other crime and legal proceedings are going on.’
