4 members of the same family burnt in gas cylinder explosion in Comilla
Four members of the same family, including a woman and a child, were burnt in a gas cylinder leakage explosion in Comilla’s Daudkandi. The burnt victims are – Monowara (60), Zil Haque (37), Umm Humaira (30) and Hurram (2). They were rescued at around 6 am today (February 24) and brought to the emergency department of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
The matter was confirmed by Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. According to hospital sources, four members of the same family, including a woman and a child, were brought to the emergency department from Daudkandi area of Comilla at around 6 am. Of these, Monowara Begum suffered 2 percent burns on her body, Zil Haque suffered 54 percent burns, Umm Humaira suffered 65 percent burns and child Hurram suffered 6 percent burns.
