4 killed in separate road accidents in the capital at night

Four people were killed in separate road accidents in the capital on their way back after Eid shopping at night. Public Works Department office assistant Sumon and his daughter were killed when a truck hit them at the Science Lab intersection. On the other hand, a CNG-powered autorickshaw overturned in Tejgaon, killing the driver and a passenger.
It is learned that Public Works Department office assistant Saju Ahmed Sumon had gone out to do Eid shopping with his only daughter Trisha, 21. Trisha was returning home with her father on a motorcycle around 9 pm yesterday (March 6). When they reached the Science Laboratory intersection, a sand-laden truck hit the motorcycle hard. Sumon died on the spot. Locals took Trisha to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
On the other hand, Harunur Rashid Sunny was returning home with his family in a CNG-powered autorickshaw after Eid shopping. An auto-rickshaw hit the island while taking a U-turn at Satrasta intersection in Tejgaon. Locals took them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctor Harunur Rashid declared Sunny and CNG driver Alim dead. Sunny’s seriously injured wife and sister are also undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
