36,000 tons of rice arrived from Myanmar and India
Two ships carrying 22,000 tonnes of rice from Myanmar and 14,000 tonnes from India have arrived at Chittagong Port.
This information was given in a press release of the Food Ministry on Wednesday.
It said that MV ATN Victory carrying 22,000 tonnes of rice from Myanmar on a government-to-government (G-to-G) basis and MV BMC Pandora carrying 15,000 tonnes of parboiled rice imported from India through an open tender have arrived at Chittagong Port.
The Food Ministry also said that necessary measures have been taken to quickly unload the rice stored on the ship.
