356 more people admitted to hospital due to dengue
In the last 24 hours, 356 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue. However, no one has died due to the Aedes mosquito-borne disease during this period. This information was given in a press release sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Wednesday (August 20). It said that from 8 am on Tuesday (August 19) to 8 am on Wednesday, 117 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka Metropolitan City, 60 in Dhaka Division (outside the City Corporation), 68 in Chittagong Division, 60 in Barisal Division, 20 in Khulna Division, 20 in Rajshahi Division, 7 in Sylhet Division and 4 in Mymensingh Division. A total of 27,471 patients have been admitted to hospital due to dengue since January this year. 105 people have died due to this Aedes mosquito-borne disease so far this year. Of the deceased, 62 are men and 43 are women.
