3 people die of dengue, 565 hospitalized
Three people have died of dengue, a disease transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, across the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 595 people have been hospitalized. This information was given in a report sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday (December 4).
The report said that from 8 am yesterday, Wednesday to 8 am today, Thursday, 565 people have been hospitalized due to dengue. Of these, 320 people have been admitted to Dhaka Metropolitan Hospital, 48 in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 101 in Chittagong division, 33 in Khulna division, 26 in Mymensingh division, 28 in Rajshahi division, 4 in Rangpur division and 5 in Sylhet division.
So far this year, 96,627 people have been hospitalized due to this disease. Including these 3 new cases, 394 people have died of dengue so far this year. Meanwhile, 567 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country in the last 12 hours, bringing the total number of people discharged from hospitals this year to 94,403.
