28 killed in Rampura: Redoanul, 2 army officers in tribunal
Army officer Lieutenant Colonel Redoanul Islam and two army officers have been presented before the International Crimes Tribunal in a case of crimes against humanity for 28 killings in the capital’s Rampura.
They were brought in a prison van from the special prison in Dhaka Cantonment amid tight security this Thursday (December 4) morning. Apart from Redoanul, the other accused is Major Md. Rafat Bin Alam. The state will hold a hearing on the framing of formal charges against the four in this case.
A three-member judicial panel led by Tribunal-1 Chairman Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Majumder will conduct the hearing. Meanwhile, the area around the tribunal is still under security cover.
