190 more people admitted to hospital due to dengue

190 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue in the last 24 hours. However, no one has died due to the Aedes mosquito-borne disease during this period. This information was given in a press release sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Friday (August 8). It said that from 8 am on Thursday (August 7) to 8 am on Friday, 50 people were admitted in Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 63 in hospitals in Dhaka Metropolitan, a maximum of 40 in Barisal division, 27 in Dhaka division, 7 in Khulna division and 3 in Mymensingh division. Meanwhile, a total of 23,410 patients have been admitted to hospital due to dengue since January this year. Out of these, 10,000 patients were admitted in July alone. 95 people have died due to the Aedes mosquito-borne disease so far this year. Among the deceased, 55 are men and 40 are women.
