    1,500 aid trucks enter Gaza after ceasefire

    The ceasefire in Gaza began at around 11:15 am local time on Sunday. Since then, 1,545 trucks of aid have entered the territory in the past two days. Of these, more than 900 trucks carrying aid entered Gaza on Monday, according to the United Nations. This information was reported by Reuters.

    Meanwhile, the United Nations humanitarian agency UNOCHA said that more than 900 trucks carrying humanitarian aid entered Gaza on Monday. According to the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, 600 trucks of aid are supposed to enter Gaza daily during the ceasefire. However, 300 more trucks have entered this time.

    UNOCHA said in a statement that humanitarian aid is being taken to the Gaza Strip. This is part of a planned operation to increase assistance to people living in the region.

    The organization said that information received from Israeli authorities said, ‘915 trucks entered Gaza on Monday.’

    Earlier, 630 trucks of aid entered Gaza on Sunday, the day the ceasefire began, i.e. the day the ceasefire came into effect. Although the ceasefire agreement states that 600 trucks will enter Gaza every day.

    It is worth noting that Israel’s invasion of the besieged Palestinian territory of Gaza began on October 7, 2023. More than 15 months have passed since then. During this time, 47,000 Palestinians lost their lives in Israeli attacks. The ceasefire finally began in the region over the bodies of 47,000 Palestinians.

    In this context, information from the Gaza Health Ministry said that the death toll since October 7, 2023 has increased to 46,899.

    A statement said that about 110,725 people have been injured in the ongoing attacks so far. Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads. Rescue workers are unable to reach them.
