1 killed in Natore mob lynching on suspicion of theft
A man named Nabir Ali (55) was killed in a mob lynching on suspicion of theft in Natore. The incident took place at around 3 am on Saturday (August 30) in Nepaldighi village of Dighapatia union of Natore Sadar upazila. The deceased Nabir Ali is a resident of Bagha upazila of Rajshahi district and son-in-law of Islabari area of Dighapatia union of Natore Sadar upazila. Locals said that Nabir Ali was staying at the madrasa field of Nepaldighi village last night. When locals saw him, Nabir tried to escape. At that time, the locals caught him and lynched him on suspicion of theft. Later, Nabir Ali died on the spot. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Natore Sadar Police Station (OC) Mahbur Rahman said that the body has been recovered and sent to Natore Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Initially, it seems to be a murder. Legal action will be taken after the investigation.
