Trump, 13 leaders on ‘revenge list’ for Khamenei’s assassination

The conservative daily Hamshahri has published a list of 13 foreign leaders who could be targeted in retaliation for the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The list includes US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several top European leaders.
According to the report, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint US-Israeli strike on the first day of the Middle East war (February 28). His son and successor Mojtaba Khamenei then vowed revenge. In a message published on Saturday, Mojtaba Khamenei said, “Revenge is the will of our nation and it will definitely be realized. Those whose names are on the list will go to their graves with the hope of a peaceful death.” However, he did not reveal any names.
Shortly after, Hamshahri, a newspaper published by the Tehran city administration, published an infographic online. The statement was accompanied by photos of 13 foreign leaders. AFP did not say whether the list was officially approved by the Iranian government.
Among those whose photos were published were US President Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Maloni and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
During the war, Iran accused European countries of failing to condemn the attacks on its territory. Tehran also alleged that they were complicit in the attacks by allowing US military aircraft to use their airspace.
