Awami League files case against Hasnat and 4 others in London, NCP protests

The Awami League has filed a case against National Citizens Party (NCP) chief organizer and Comilla-4 MP Hasnat Abdullah and four of his workers, seeking a ban on their activities. The case was filed at Cambridge Police Station in London, UK, on Friday (June 19).
The other accused in the case are NCP leaders Ehtesham Haque, Zakir Chowdhury and Shahin Alam. Among them, Zakir Chowdhury has been taken to the police station for questioning. In addition, several other unidentified persons have been accused. The NCP UK alliance gave this information in a press release on Saturday (June 20).
It said that after continuous propaganda and harassment against Hasnat Abdullah and his associates, the Awami League and supporters of the ousted fascist government in the UK have started a new drama. They have filed a case against Hasnat Abdullah, Ehtesham Haque, Zakir Chowdhury, Shaheen Alam and several others at the police station on charges of ‘forcibly beating’ Awami League leaders and workers. Through this, they are trying to waste the valuable time of the UK police. The notice also said that a specialized agency in the UK has started an investigation into the terrorist activities of the banned Awami League, its possible impact on public safety and the law and order situation in the UK. Hasnat Abdullah thanked the UK law enforcement agencies for their professional and responsible role. However, the defunct Awami League has failed before, and will fail again. They have repeatedly tried to disrupt Hasnat Abdullah’s historic speech at Oxford Union, his successful exchange of views with the diaspora spread across the UK and his efforts to establish connections with fellow fighters, but have failed miserably every time.
