Internet blackout in Iran for 86 days

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran. It has been 86 days since then. Immediately after the attack began, the relevant authorities imposed an ‘internet blackout’ in Iran. Despite the ceasefire, internet services have not returned to normal. Internet service monitoring organization Netblocks reported on social media that the general public in the country has been virtually cut off from the global internet for 2,040 consecutive hours.
Netblocks said that despite peace talks, global internet connectivity in Iran is still severely restricted. International human rights and technology monitoring organizations have long expressed concerns about the control of the internet in Iran amid the ongoing war and political unrest.
