Rape, child abuse and murder are reflections of years of moral decline
BNP Secretary General and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the recent incidents of rape, child abuse and murder are not isolated incidents; rather, they are a horrific reflection of years of moral decline, social irresponsibility and rapid decline in human values. He said these things in a post on social media Facebook today, Thursday (May 21).
In the post, Mirza Fakhrul wrote, “We are committed to continuing our all-out efforts against this inhuman crime and will work to build a safe Bangladesh, where our children can grow up without fear.”
He wrote, “But laws or government initiatives alone are not enough. A strong national social movement is needed. Families, schools, madrasas, teachers, religious leaders, media, social organizations and every citizen must come forward. We must teach our children about respect, humanity, responsibility and the dignity of women.” Ensuring the safety of our children is the future of Bangladesh. The latest Secretary General of BNP wrote, “Let us all unite in this struggle for change.”
