Trusting her husband to send money from abroad is the fate of Maryam

Maryam Begum, who had returned from abroad, was killed by her husband Nasir Sikder in Darogortbak village of Chakamia union in Kalapara district of Patuakhali. The incident took place on Sunday (May 17) at around 3 am. On receiving the information, Kalapara police station reached the spot and recovered the body of the deceased Maryam.
Officer-in-charge of Kalapara police station Nazrul Islam said that the housewife’s husband has been absconding since the incident. Therefore, members of the CBI and various intelligence agencies have come from Patuakhali to investigate the exact cause of death and collect evidence. Once their work is completed, the body will be sent to the Patuakhali morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, the son, brother and local residents of the deceased Maryam said that the deceased housewife Maryam Begum had returned home from Saudi Arabia eight days ago. Nasir had been asking her for money since returning home. There was an argument about this yesterday afternoon and at one point he beat Maryam. Later, although his son and the locals stopped him, Nasir killed the housewife and fled as no one was home at night. Meanwhile, the naval police recovered the body of an unidentified young woman from Nawapara village of Lalua union from the Rabnabad river in Kalapara yesterday afternoon. Kalapara police station officer-in-charge Nazrul Islam said that her identity could not be identified. Therefore, the body has been sent to Patuakhali morgue for autopsy.
