Case filed against 4 people in the stabbing death of EB teacher

A case has been filed against 4 people in the stabbing death of Kushtia Islamic University (EI) Social Welfare Department Chairman and Assistant Professor Asma Sadia Runa. On Thursday (March 5), the deceased’s husband Imtiaz Sultan filed a case with the Islamic University Police Station against 4 people, including the main accused office assistant Fazlur Rahman.
Meanwhile, the deceased teacher Asma Sadia Runa will be buried at the Central Cemetery after the funeral prayer at the Kushtia Eidgah Maidan after Zohr.
On the other hand, the main accused office assistant Fazlur Rahman is still undergoing treatment in a serious condition. Earlier, on Wednesday afternoon, an office assistant stabbed Asma Sadia Runa, the chairman of the Social Welfare Department of Kushtia Islamic University, to death. After the murder, the accused Fazlur Rahman tried to commit suicide by cutting his throat with a sharp weapon.
Hearing noises from the department head’s room, students rushed to the hospital to rescue the two. The doctor declared Asma Sadia dead.
