What did Bobby Hajjaj say about Eid holidays
The government has extended the holiday by one more day to ensure smooth movement of people on the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. There will be a general holiday on March 18 by executive order. As a result, government employees will get seven consecutive days off on Eid-ul-Fitr. This decision was taken at a cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat on Thursday (March 5) morning under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj confirmed this information to reporters after the meeting. He said that the government has also declared a holiday on March 18. This time, government employees will get seven consecutive days off on Eid-ul-Fitr from March 17 to 23.
According to the list of holidays announced by the government, if Eid-ul-Fitr falls on March 21, there will be a general holiday on that day. In addition, holidays have been fixed on March 19 and 20 before Eid and on March 22 and 23 by executive order. In this, government officials and employees will get five consecutive days off from March 19 to 23.
