Fears of US attack, but Gen-Z not stopped: Iran again in turmoil

Amid talks with the US over its nuclear program, Generation-Z protests are once again rising in Iran. Ordinary Iranians held protests, rallies and marches for the second day in the capital Tehran on Sunday (February 22).
An AFP report said that the country’s young anti-government generation began protests in the capital Tehran last Saturday, remembering those killed by security forces during the protests in December-January and demanding justice for the killings. In response to their protests, young people supporting the ruling government have called for pro-government rallies and missiles.
Iranian online media Fars News reported that protests have broken out at three universities in Tehran and of these three, Sharif University is at the center of the most anti-government movement. Various videos circulating on social media yesterday showed Sharif University students marching with flags from the era of Iran’s former Shah Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi and chanting various anti-government slogans.
