BNP calls parliamentary party meeting after oath-taking
After the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected members of the National Assembly, the winning party in the 13th parliamentary election, BNP, has called a parliamentary party meeting. BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed gave this information today (February 16). He said that the meeting will be held at the Parliament Building at 11:30 am tomorrow, Tuesday (February 17) after the oath-taking ceremony.
Salahuddin Ahmed said that the parliamentary leader will be elected in this parliamentary party meeting. InshaAllah, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will become the Prime Minister as the leader of the majority party. It is worth noting that the 13th National Parliament election and referendum were held last Thursday (February 12). The Election Commission (EC) published the gazette of the winners in 297 out of 299 seats on Friday (February 13) night.
297 newly elected members of parliament will take oath tomorrow at 10 am. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin will administer their oath. After the swearing-in of the members of parliament, the new government’s cabinet will be sworn in at the South Plaza of the parliament in the afternoon.
