BNP will ensure the rights of July freedom fighters if it comes to power: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that if BNP gets the responsibility of running the state in the future, the highest respect, security and rights of the freedom fighters of the July uprising will be ensured. If necessary, BNP will also make arrangements to send the children of the heroes of the movement abroad for proper treatment. He said these things at a view-exchange meeting with the July freedom fighters and their families at the Mirza Ruhul Amin Auditorium in Thakurgaon at 10 pm yesterday, Wednesday (January 4).
Recalling the contribution of the July freedom fighters, Mirza Fakhrul said, our movement was the same, the movement of the youth was incredibly brave and strong. It was because of this combined force that the fall of the fascist government was possible. At that time, he expressed deep gratitude to the heroes of the movement.
Regarding the trial of criminals during the fascist government, the BNP Secretary General clearly said that those who committed crimes in a fascist manner should be brought to justice. The trial process has already started and will continue. At the same time, he promised to ensure full security for the July protesters.
Expressing regret for the development of Thakurgaon, Mirza Fakhrul said that Thakurgaon is a neglected and poor district. Despite making political promises, the previous governments did not build any big factories or development work here. If the BNP comes to power, agro-based industries will be developed in this region. In addition, special projects will be taken up to establish farms in private enterprises, expand technical education and create skilled manpower in the information technology sector, so that the youth get the opportunity to earn money sitting at home.
In the meeting, he assured the establishment of a medical college in Thakurgaon and reiterated his promise to ensure better treatment for those injured in the July protests. Local leaders and activists of the district BNP and family members of the July protests were present at the meeting.
