Winter has intensified in Panchagarh, temperature at 12 degrees

For the past few days, the intensity of winter has increased in Panchagarh district along with the intensity of fog. The entire area of Panchagarh is covered in fog, so the sun has not been seen for four days. The people of this region are overcome by bone-chilling cold. Today, Tuesday (December 30) at 9 am, a temperature of 12.2 degrees Celsius was recorded in Panchagarh. The Tentulia Meteorological Observatory in Panchagarh recorded this temperature. At this time, the humidity of the air was 98 percent.
For the past one week, public life has practically come to a standstill due to dense fog and cold wind. In the morning, the entire district was covered in a blanket of fog. Low-income people have suffered the most due to the cold. For many days, daily wage earners and workers have not been able to go out to work in the morning. Due to the fog, cars were seen driving carefully on the roads with headlights on even during the day.
Jitendra Nath Roy, officer-in-charge of Tentulia Meteorological Observatory in Panchagarh, said that the mild cold wave has passed in Panchagarh since December 19 and the temperature has increased slightly in the last few days. However, severe cold is being felt. However, due to clouds and dense fog in the sky, the intensity of the sun does not spread to the surface. As a result, cold is being felt even during the day. He said that mild to moderate cold wave may blow in this area in the first week of January.
