Tariffs: US President wants to talk to India again

After several ups and downs, US President Donald Trump has once again expressed interest in discussing tariffs with India. In a post on social media on Tuesday (September 9), he introduced Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his friend.
Trump said that he wants to discuss the tariff issue with Modi in the next few weeks. The US President also expressed hope that the meeting will remove trade barriers between the two countries.
On the other hand, in response to Trump’s post, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a counter-post on social media on Wednesday. He said that New Delhi is interested in continuing discussions with Washington on the tariff issue. He expressed hope that the meeting will further strengthen good relations between the two countries.
