Plane crashes into school building: State mourning declared on Tuesday

The government has declared state mourning on Tuesday (July 22) over the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training plane at the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara, the capital. On this day, the national flag will be flown at half-mast in all government, semi-government, autonomous institutions, and educational institutions of the country. In addition, the national flag will also be flown at half-mast in all government, private buildings, and Bangladeshi missions abroad. At the same time, special prayers will be organized at all religious places of worship in the country for the injured and deceased. Meanwhile, a BAF F-7 BJI model training plane crashed into a building at Milestone School and College in Diyabari, Uttara at around 1:18 pm today, Monday. The plane immediately caught fire. At least two people have been confirmed dead in the accident so far. In addition, more than a hundred injured have already been rescued and taken to various hospitals in Dhaka, including the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit. In addition to the fire service, members of the army and air force are conducting rescue operations there.
