Sanjida from Bhutan to Dhaka for coaching course
Senior footballer of Bangladesh women’s football team Sanjida Akhter has come to Dhaka from Bhutan to participate in the AFC ‘B’ license coaching course initiated by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). The coaching course started at the BFF building on Tuesday (July 8). Five female footballers including Sanjida and Shiuli Azim are participating in it. In total, 24 coaches are participating in the course. Sanjida Akhter plays for Thimphu City in the Bhutan Women’s League. She has come to the country on leave from the club for the coaching course. BFF Technical Director Saiful Bari Titu is conducting the course as an instructor. In the past, the ‘B’ license was completed in seven days. Recently, the course is being organized in two parts, each of seven days. The first part of this year’s ‘B’ license will be held from July 7-17 and the second part from August 19-27. The fee for the ‘B’ license coaching course is 50,000 taka. To encourage female footballers to coach, 25,000 taka is kept from them. There is still no female coach with an ‘A’ license in Bangladesh. However, a few have a ‘B’ degree.
