Search conducted at HT Imam’s son’s house in Gulshan at midnight
The revolutionary student-public has searched the house of Tanvir Imam, son of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political advisor, the late HT Imam, and former MP from Sirajganj-4 constituency.
The search began at around 12 midnight on Tuesday at the house next to Shahabuddin Park in Gulshan-2. Earlier, the student-public surrounded the house after receiving information that a large amount of illegal money was hidden.
A team from Gulshan Police Station went there after receiving the information. However, no one was arrested or money seized from the house till the time of writing this report at 1 am.
Rajib Sardar, who introduced himself as the coordinator of the student-public delegation, said, “We have information that the accused of the July massacre are hiding in this house along with weapons, drugs and black money. We have searched. The police and the army have come. If the army searches the second floor, the accused will be found.”
Gulshan Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Shamim confirmed the matter. He said that the police are at the scene. Details will be announced later.
