Israel deploys tanks in the West Bank

Despite the ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli military is continuing its operations in the West Bank. Although not as intense as in Gaza, the operations are ongoing there. The IDF has deployed tanks there for the first time in 20 years. This information was revealed in a report by the Turkish news agency Anadolu Agency.

The report said that 40,000 Palestinians have been displaced in the West Bank due to the Israeli occupation forces’ operations. They are not even able to return home.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Sunday that their army will remain in the refugee camps until next year. He said, “The Israeli army is expanding its operations in the northern part of the West Bank. 40,000 Palestinians have been removed from the refugee camps.”

He also said that the United Nations’ activities in the camps have also been suspended.

The Palestinian state news agency Wafa reported that the Israeli army has imposed a curfew in Qabatia in the West Bank.
