There will be no load shedding this summer: Financial advisor

There is no possibility of any load shedding in the country in the coming summer, said Economic Advisor Dr. Saleh Ahmed.

He said this while talking to reporters after attending the 65th meeting of the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center (BPATC) Board of Directors in Savar on Sunday night.

The Economic Advisor said, “There is sufficient gas energy, so there is no possibility of load shedding.”

Stating that the government is importing rice and pulses ahead of Ramadan and has adequate stocks, the Economic Advisor said, “The prices of everyday goods will not increase. In addition, the supply management in the market will be monitored so that no one can create an artificial crisis and engage in black marketing.

The government is vigilant enough to prevent the price of food products from increasing, the financial advisor said, adding, “The value of the taka against the dollar is currently stable and will neither increase nor decrease in the future.”

Among others, Cabinet Secretary Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Dr. Md. Mokhles Ur Rahman were present at the time.
