Term of five reform commissions extended
The term of the five reform commissions formed by the interim government led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus has been extended until March 31. The Cabinet Division issued a separate notification in this regard on Tuesday.
The five commissions are – Media, Health, Women’s Affairs, Labor and Local Government Reform Commission. The notification mentioned that the time has been extended in the interest of completing the work of these commissions.
These five reform commissions were formed last November. The reports of the six reform commissions formed earlier have been submitted. These are – Constitution, Judiciary, Electoral System, Public Administration, Police and Anti-Corruption Commission Reform Commission.
After submitting the reports of these six commissions, the National Consensus Commission led by Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has started discussions with political parties and other stakeholders. The National Consensus Commission held its first meeting with representatives of 27 political parties and alliances at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on February 15.
