Speakers at People’s Insurance’s annual conference: “We must move forward through hard work”
People’s Insurance is not just an institution, it is a family. It has become an international standard institution today through the hard work of its members. It will have to be taken forward through hard work and penance in the future for the welfare of the country and the nation.
Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Multipurpose Hall of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) in Baridhara, made these remarks at the People’s Insurance Company Limited’s Annual Conference-2025 yesterday.
At the event, prominent industrialist and chairman of the PHP family, Alhaj Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, said, “Success in life is possible through the grace of Allah, hard work, penance and pure intentions. To grow in life, you must have dream. You must work for others, not only for yourself. Then you can become a successful person.”
Expressing optimism that People’s Insurance will go even further, the Ekushey Padak-winning national figure further said, “I believe that behind this company coming this far is the mercy of Allah, hard work and penance.” He said, “The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, the results of work will depend on the intention. Whatever work we do in this world, the results of all work will depend on the intention.” Citing an example from his own life, he added, “Starting with a job with a salary of one hundred taka, Allah has brought me to this point. Behind this is the mercy of Allah, hard work and penance and penance.”
As a special guest BNP Standing Committee member, former minister and former chairman of People’s Insurance Company, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said, “Gratitude to those who have contributed to the company in the past. People’s Insurance is not a company, it is a family. It has to remain that way.” He added, “People’s Insurance Company is a first-class company in Bangladesh. We have come a long way through the experience and contributions of the past. However, there have been changes in business, especially in the service sector, globally. I think we need to be focused on this. It is not just about doing business. There have been many changes globally in automation, use of technology, management style, etc. We also need to bring changes in this regard. I believe that there have been many changes in People’s Insurance as well.”
Amir Khasru said, “Many people in Bangladesh are interested in insurance. They are looking at where this sector will go. Because insurance is an important sector in the service sector abroad. If we want to bring them into partnership, then the extent to which there have been changes in the company’s management and branding is also an important issue. Those who are doing business are thinking about their companies in a new way. I think People’s Insurance has that capability.”
Other speakers at the conference were – Former Chairman of People’s Insurance Company Nazmul Ahsan Khaled, Director Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury. Former Chairman Shahzada Mahmud Chowdhury, Vice-Chairman Md. Anwarul Haque, Director (Finance) of PHP Family and Mohammad Ali Hossain, Director of People’s Insurance Company, other directors, independent directors and all high-ranking officials of the company were present. The program was presided over by Chairman of People’s Insurance Company, Zafar Ahmed Patwari.
