The price of LPG has decreased
The price of autogas (LPG) used in vehicles has decreased in view of the adjustment of value added tax. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission informed this information in a notification on Wednesday.
On January 14, the Energy Regulatory Commission increased the price of autogas (LPG) by 67 taka and fixed it at 67.27 paisa. However, this time, the price of the product has been reduced by 42 paisa per liter and the price has been fixed at 66.85 taka.
The Energy Regulatory Commission’s notification said that as a result of the change in the VAT rate imposed on LPG through the Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025 and related notifications and orders, the price of autogas has been adjusted to 67 taka and 27 paisa, of which VAT is 4 taka and 41 paisa.
Basically, the price of LPG after storage will be 53 taka 14 paisa, with VAT at the rate of 7.5 percent, at 3 taka 99 paisa. Accordingly, the price of autogas at the consumer level will be 66 taka 85 paisa per liter.
