Why Khaled Muhiuddin suspended the chat show of BCL

Khaled Muhiuddin, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Thikana TV, announced the organization of a talk show on Saddam Hossain, president of the banned organization Chhatra League. He suspended the program in the face of criticism.

Khaled Muhiuddin announced the suspension of the talk show in a post on his Facebook at around 8 pm today.

Khaled Muhiuddin writes on Facebook, “Bangladesh Chhatra League is now a banned organization by the decision of the interim government.” According to the advice of several lawyers, it would not be legal to promote the speech of anyone from the Bangladeshi side. In this consideration, the program of the banned Chhatra League president has been postponed.

Saddam was supposed to participate with Khaled Muhiuddin in a live talk show titled ‘Khaled Muhiuddin in Address’ tomorrow Thursday night at 9 pm. Sarjis Alam, general secretary of Juli Shaheed Smriti Foundation raised questions about the matter.

In a post given on his verified Facebook page, Sarjis Alam wrote, ‘Khaled Mohiuddin Bhai, how many talk shows have he done with the leaders of banned organizations before? It is dishonesty with more than 2 thousand of our martyrs, dishonesty with the blood of half a million bloody brothers and sisters.

Anti-discrimination student movement convener Hasnat Abdullah criticized the same issue. In a post given on his verified Facebook ID, he wrote, “By promoting the president of a banned organization, the martyrs of the anti-fascist movement and the national revolution and solidarity were cheated.”
