Polythene ban campaign is starting from today

After Supershop, polythene has also been removed from the raw market since November 1. If the government does not follow the law, they will be brought under the law.

Tapan Kumar Biswas, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, told the media on Saturday.

He also said that measures will be taken to ensure that no one can use polythene. The matter will be dealt with strictly. Everyone knows about the harmful side of using polythene. Even ten years ago people marketed without polythene. So if you want it is still possible. But it will take some time to completely eliminate polyethylene from the market. Customers can use jute and cloth bags instead of polythene. Strict action will be taken if polythene bags are found despite instructions to traders. After Supershop, the use of polythene bags has been banned in raw markets from Friday.
