The families of 200 martyrs will get financial assistance today
Financial assistance will be given to 200 families of martyrs in the mass uprising of students and people. This financial donation will start from Saturday.
Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdh, chief executive of the foundation and brother of Shaheed Muddar, said through a Facebook post that the program of distribution of support money will be inaugurated among the family members of the martyrs at the South City Corporation Auditorium.
He also advised those who will come to take financial donations to bring some documents to confirm the relationship of martyred person in the movement.
In a Facebook post, Snigdha wrote, financial assistance will be given only to those families who have been confirmed by contacting the 16000 number.
They should bring with them:
- Photocopy of NID card of martyred brother or sister,
- Death Certificate,
- Nominee (in whose name the account is) NID Card,
- Of course, the NID card of the father and mother of the martyred person.
The post also mentions that Shahid Bhai’s father and mother should be brought with him if his wife is a nominee.
Meanwhile, Sarjis Alam, general secretary of the foundation, said in a press briefing in front of the foundation office, “Every week, 200 martyr families will be supported.” Assistance will be delivered to 200 people a week in four phases from morning to afternoon. For now, this program will start from Dhaka. Work will be done to support the families of the martyrs in all eight departments.
He also said, “If there is no problem between the martyr’s family, the money will be paid by joint investment. If there is any problem within the family, it will be dealt with by those who have the legal wing. In terms of assistance, larger funds will be given through checks and smaller ones in development. Initially, each martyr’s family will get 5 lakh and the injured will get 1 lakh each.
Sarzis also said that according to privately received information, there are 24,000 injured and more than 1,600 dead. Which is being verified again and again. Rehabilitation of the injured will also be done by the foundation.
