He said this while joining the greeting exchange ceremony organized on the occasion of Durga Puja at Iskaton Ladies Club in the capital on Tuesday.
Tariq Rahman said, ‘Questions are being raised about the process of formation of the interim government, which may hinder the work of the government. The goals and objectives of the government and BNP are one and the same. So there is no room for misunderstanding.
Acting Chairman of BNP said, “We think that the current government cannot be allowed to fail in any way. The national unity that has developed between us must be maintained at any cost. However, if the needs of the common people are not given priority, the interim government will soon face people’s questions.
He said, ‘Awami League has been trying to profit by creating communal strife between different communities. For the last 15 years, the mafia government kept people of all religions in fear by ensuring the security of terrorists. When there is a festival of the Hindus, various misdeeds are attempted. But our message to everyone is – Religion belongs to everyone, everyone has the right to get security.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir presided over the exchange of greetings. Earlier, the leaders of the Hindu community welcomed the BNP leaders with flowers.
