    What is the status of Banga bhavan today?

    There is a tense situation in front of President Shahabuddin’s residence, Banga bhavan. There was not much presence of students from Wednesday morning. However, the presence of law and order forces was noticed around Banga bhavan area.

    It was seen that the fence in front of the Banga Bhavan was broken so that no one could enter inside, so the army and BGB members were on alert. In addition, its cutting fence has been newly installed.

    Earlier on Tuesday, students and common people protested in front of the President’s residence demanding his resignation. Later, around 11:30 pm, the agitators left the Banga bhavan area. At this time, several leaders and activists of the anti-discrimination student movement, including Hasnat-Sarjis, assured the resignation of the president by Thursday.

    The protestors started protesting in front of Banga Bhavan demanding the resignation of President Sahabuddin from this afternoon. At one point they tried to break the barricade and enter Banga bhavan. At that time, the army and police stopped them.

    Apart from this, when a large police team tried to come in front of Banga Bhavan from the side of Gulistan Outer Stadium, the protesters also blocked their way. Even after the police retreated in the face of their fire, the police vehicle was attacked. The policemen in the car were blocked. In the face of the attack, some policemen dropped their weapons and left. Later the agitators handed over the weapons to the army.

    Incidentally, President Sahabuddin said in a recent interview to Manavzamin that he does not have documentary evidence of Sheikh Hasina’s resignation from the post of Prime Minister. President Md. Sahabuddin’s comments created a heated discussion in the country’s politics. Due to such comments, many students including the president. Sahabuddin demanded resignation. At one point, the anti-discrimination student movement started multiple platform movements under different banners to demand the resignation of the president. The agitators also announced an ultimatum for the President’s resignation.

    Meanwhile, a circular sent from the President’s press wing on Monday night said that the matter of Sheikh Hasina’s resignation has been settled. Sahabuddin called upon the interim government to refrain from destabilizing or embarrassing it by creating a new controversy.
