The President clarified the resignation of Sheikh Hasina
President MD Sahabuddin said that there is no opportunity to create a new controversy over the resignation of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
This information was informed in a press release signed by Shiplu Zaman, Deputy Press Secretary of the Office of the President, on Monday.
According to the press release, the campaign carried out in various media by quoting the President on the resignation of the former Prime Minister has created confusion in the public mind. The President’s clear statement in this regard is that the Prime Minister’s resignation and departure from the country in the face of the student revolution, the dissolution of Parliament and the constitutional validity of the current interim government have been answered by the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in Special Reference No. 01/2024.
As reflected in the order dated August 8. According to Article 106 of the Constitution, the Appellate Division gave this opinion after the President sought the opinion of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on August 8.
The President appealed to all to refrain from destabilizing or embarrassing the interim government by creating any new controversy on the settled issue.
