Miscreants shot dead a young man in Mohammadpur

The miscreants were shot dead in Mohammadpur of the capital. A young man named Shahnewaz (38) was killed. The incident took place on Humayun road of Mohammadpur Geneva camp around 11 pm on Wednesday.

Nasreen Akhtar, the sister of the deceased, said that they live on Road No. 8 of Geneva Camp. He worked in a restaurant. Shahnewaz. He was returning home after work at night. The miscreants then injured Jalal in front of Jalal Decorators on Humayun Road. On receiving the news, he was rescued and brought to the hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

DMK Hospital Police Camp Incharge (Inspector) Md Farooq said that the body has been kept in the morgue for autopsy. The incident was reported to Mohammadpur police station. They are investigating in detail.
