A large number of indigenous weapons were recovered after searching the rooms and washrooms of the Chhatra League in Shaheed Mukhtar Elahi Hall of Begum Rokeya University (Berobi) in Rangpur. Weapons found in raids include ramda, chapati, knife etc. Rods, pipes and liquor bottles were also found.
The operation was conducted at Shaheed Mukhtar Elahi Hall after 10 pm on Sunday. Provost body, assistant proctor and students were present at this time.
At this time, when the locked rooms occupied by the BCL were opened, various indigenous weapons came out one by one. Huge indigenous weapons are also found on the ceiling of the washroom in the hall.
At the end of the operation, the weapons recovered were kept in the custody of the administration.
