4 consecutive days holiday across the country

A four-day national holiday has started today, combining autumn Durga Puja and weekend holidays.

On the occasion of Durga Puja, the interim government declared a nationwide general holiday on October 10 through an executive order. Last Tuesday, a notification was issued in this regard from the Ministry of Public Administration.

On the other hand, according to the public holiday calendar, October 11 and 12 are Friday and Saturday holidays. And 13 October is a holiday. In all, four consecutive days of vacation have started from today.

Government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous and private offices will remain closed during general holidays.

However, emergency services such as electricity, water, gas and other fuels, fire services, operations of ports, cleaning operations, telephone and internet, postal services and vehicles and workers engaged in these related services will be outside the scope of this holiday.
