    The new price of LPG will be known today

    New LPG prices for the month of October will be announce today. It will be known whether the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is increasing or decreasing.

    Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced this information in a circular on Tuesday.

    It is said that according to the Saudi CP for the month of October (2024) announced by Saudi Aramco, the instructions of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission regarding the price adjustment of private LPG at the consumer level for this month will be announced at 3 pm on Wednesday.

    Earlier on September 2, the price of 12 kg cylinder for the month of September was increased by 44 taka to 1 thousand 421 taka compared to the month of August at the consumer level. And last August and July it was increased by 11 taka and 3 taka respectively. At that time, the price of 12 kg cylinder was fixed at 1 thousand 377 taka and 1 thousand 366 taka respectively.

    However, last June and May, the price of 12 kg cylinder was reduced by Tk 30 and Tk 49 to Tk 1,363 and Tk 1,393 respectively. And after 8 consecutive months of increase, LPG prices were reduced on April 3 at the consumer level.

    Meanwhile, BERC had hiked the prices of LPG as well as autogas last September. In September, the price of autogas at the consumer level has been increased by 2 taka 5 paisa compared to August and fixed at 65 taka 26 paisa. And in August and July, autogas prices were increased by 51 paisa and 17 paisa respectively. At that time, the price of autogas was fixed at 63 taka 21 paisa and 62 taka 70 paisa respectively with Musak.

    However, the company also reduced the price of autogas in June, May and April. In June, May and April respectively, the price of autogas including Musak was fixed at Tk 62 53 paise, Tk 63 92 paise and Tk 66 21 paise per litre.
