‘The Glory’ actress Park Ji Ah has passed away
Popular Korean actress Park Ji Ah has passed away. She died on Monday due to brain haemorrhage. Park was 52 years old.
She became quite popular by acting in the popular Netflix thriller series ‘The Glory’.
Park’s agency, Billions, said in a statement, “We will always remember her dedication to acting.” Condolences to her family members.
Citing sources close to her, Korean media reported that Park’s blood flow had been cut off after a blood clot from the heart had accumulated in a blood vessel in her brain. She was taken to the hospital but could not be saved.
In 2002, Park debuted on the silver screen by acting in the movie ‘The Coast Guard’. After that, She gained popularity by acting in various roles in movies like ‘Epitaph’, ‘Bloody Heart’, ‘Clean Up’.
This Korean actress caught the attention of the audience by playing the role of Song Hye Kyo’s mother in Netflix’s ‘The Glory’ series released in 2022. Apart from films and series, Park has also acted regularly in stage plays.
Park Ji Ah acted in the famous Korean director Kim Ki Duk’s films ‘Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring’, ‘Three Irons’, ‘Dream’, ‘The Coastguard’, ‘Breath’.
Park’s funeral will be held in Seoul on October 2 at 10 am.
