    Severe floods and landslides in Nepal, 112 people died

    At least 112 people have died in severe floods and landslides in Nepal. Besides, 68 people are missing.

    Nepali media Kathmandu Post reported this information in a report today. The death toll may rise further, reports said.

    Incessant rains for the past three days have caused severe floods and landslides across the country and at least 112 people have died as of Saturday night, reports said. Another 68 people have gone missing in this disaster.

    At 10:30pm on Saturday, the Ministry of Home Affairs of Nepal confirmed the death toll of 99, 68 missing and 100 injured.

    However, according to information obtained by local correspondents of the Kathmandu Post and confirmed by the headquarters of the Nepal Police and Armed Police Forces, 112 people have died nationwide. At least 20 people lost their lives in Lalitpur, 15 in Dhading, 34 in Kawar, 12 in Kathmandu, 7 in Makawanpur, 5 in Bhaktapur and Panchthar, 4 in Sindhupalcho, 3 in Dolaka, 2 in Dhankuta.

    Kathmandu Valley recorded the highest rainfall since 1970 on Saturday.

    According to Senior Superintendent of Police Vasant Rajour, police from Kathmandu and Dhading recovered these bodies on Saturday evening.
